Description

Through a generative process, the artist explores our relationship with machines and the transformation of coastal landscapes. The works result from a multi-stage protocol: training of a generative model from photographs of Arromanches, graphic reinterpretation, selection and digitization, then mechanical tracing before a final manual intervention. This back-and-forth between automation and artisanal gesture lends the drawings a singular tension between technical precision and human sensitivity. Flying machines hover over the coast, transforming the sky into a territory of anticipation. Further afield, the 360 Museum in Arromanches is transformed into a domed observatory, like an outpost scrutinizing what's possible. Finally, on the beach, between relics of the D-Day landings and silhouettes of beachgoers, a robot strides among humans, an incongruous presence that questions the future of our cohabitation with technology. Presented as part of the Panoramic Route festival. Machines and Us (September 2628, 2025), the exhibition offers a broader reflection on the interactions between technology and artistic creation. On view until October 4, 2025, it offers both a utopian and dystopian vision of a city's future, while questioning our relationship with images and territories.
